Feifer Assessment of Mathematics (FAM)

A standardized assessment designed to explore how mathematical thinking and processing work, beyond surface-level performance.

What it is

The Feifer Assessment of Mathematics is a standardized assessment that examines mathematical skills alongside the cognitive and language processes that support mathematical learning.

What it measures

The assessment looks at areas such as calculation, problem solving, mathematical reasoning, and the underlying processes that may contribute to math difficulties.

How results are used

Results may help clarify why math difficulties are occurring and support more targeted instructional planning, accommodations, or intervention decisions.

What the assessment process looks like

Testing is completed individually and in person at 5e Cognition. The session typically takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the areas being explored.
