Cognitive & Executive Screening
Identify patterns contributing to struggles with focus, planning, and self-regulation to build a deep understanding of unique learning profiles.
What is Cognitive Screening?
Cognitive and Executive Function screening provides a window into *how* an individual processes information. It moves beyond what someone knows (academics) and focuses on the underlying mental processes that dictate how they learn, focus, and interact with the world.
Struggles with task initiation, losing items, emotional dysregulation, or inconsistent performance are rarely character flaws. They are closely tied to executive functioning differences. Our screening identifies these specific processing differences, providing vital data that informs learning support, accommodations, and a deeper sense of self-understanding.
Standardized Tools
- BRIEF-2: Behavior Rating Inventory of Executive Function (Core Profile)Evaluates executive function and self regulation across behavioral, emotional, and cognitive domains.
- TOMAL-2: Test of Memory and Learning (Core Profile)Comprehensively assesses general and specific memory functions, including verbal, nonverbal, and delayed recall.
- ASRS: Autism Spectrum Rating Scales (Targeted Add-on)Identifies symptoms, behaviors, and associated features of Autism Spectrum Disorder, including social and communication skills and self regulation.
